ORGAN APPEAL

Dorcas Sewing Group

The group meets weekly on a Wednesday from 2pm and welcome new members interested in busy hands and lively conversation. 

2005

Dorcas members have been busy on a variety of projects during the past year.  At our weekly meetings we have made Christmas Cards, a quilt, and other items sold from stalls in the Market Square during the summer.  Sales from these have brought in over £200 for Church funds.  Clergy vestments have needed repair on an on-going basis and the stock of purificators has been added to. 

Oxfam has benefited by £100 from the sale of Easter chicks made during Lent.  We celebrated Christmas with a visit to a Garden Centre for lunch.

2004

As usual our hands have been busy on many projects this past year. Fund raising for Church and Oxfam has resulted in sales totalling £500. Sadly we have lost a few supporters but we have gained new ones as we look forward to the challenges and continued friendships of the coming year.
